The estimated post time for the 2010 Belmont Stakes is only minutes away -- 6:32 Eastern -- and Ice Box has become even more of a standout favorite. The horse's odds have increased from +200 this afternoon to +160 as of this writing. Today is the third race, which is the famous “Triple Crown” of horse racing. It has taken the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and, indeed, until now, the Belmont will be held in New York.There will be no Triple Crown winner in 2010 and the final round will have one of the winners in the previous race (Super Saver and Ken at the Lucky). However, it may provide another exciting horse race, like the last two years.
Ice Box is trailed by First Dude and Fly Down, who both sit at +500. Uptowncharlybrown's odds, which are now at +800, have increased modestly throughout the day. Every other horse in the field has odds greater than 10-1.
